The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra was honored by the university president for topping the national rankings.
The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra received an award from the university president for achieving first place in the national rankings of colleges of education in Iraqi universities. The award was presented during an official ceremony attended by the university president's assistants, deans of colleges, heads of departments, and a number of specialists.
The award was presented by University President Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, who presented the Shield of Excellence to the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafteh, and to the heads of distinguished departments in recognition of their outstanding academic performance. This performance contributed to the college's leading position among more than one hundred public and private universities across Iraq, in addition to its receiving an "Excellent" rating in the evaluation of the Iraqi academic landscape.
During the ceremony, the university president commended the efforts of the college's deanship and faculty, praising their advanced rankings and significant achievements in scientific research and academic activities.
He emphasized that this year is a year of excellence and dedication at the University of Basra, noting that the excellence of its colleges has been instrumental in the university achieving third place in the rankings of Iraqi universities. For his part, the Dean of the College expressed his pride in this honor, stressing that this achievement represents the fruit of continuous collective work and sincere efforts made by the faculty, staff, and students.
