University of Basra discusses the strategy of drug interaction with DNA

The College of Science at the Faculty of Science organized a discussion entitled "The Strategy of drugs Intervention with DNA".
The researcher Rawaa Ali Kshaish, explained that the interaction between DNA molecules and anti-cancer drugs its types and the applications of spectroscopic techniques used to study these reactions was investigated. The interaction of drugs with DNA is an important advantage in pharmacology and plays a vital role in determining the drug work modalities and the design more efficient drugs and precisely the fewer side effects. Some common anticancer drugs such as Cisplatin, Actinomycin D, Netropsin and their interactions with DNA were also studied using UV-Visible spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry.
