A seminar in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed the Fusarium oxysporum f sp lycopersici strains of Fusarium wilt disease, the possibility of using the Hyromic acid and T.harzianum fungus and their induce systemic resistance in tomato plant which was discussed by the researcher, Hussein Sabah Starr at the plant protection department hall.
The researcher explained that the spread of the disease in tomato cultivation areas in Iraq and the absence of modern studies about determining the strains except for an old study in the seventies of the last century. He also added that it is possible to conduct a study on this subject in Basrah province, as it is known that the disease causes severe losses so I developed a plan to know the pathogenic strains at Basrah province in order to use a resistant variety according to the recorded strain at the region.
