Frankenstein at University of Basrah to demonstrate war & terrorism impact in crystallizing individual personality


The researcher Kholoud Hassan Sivan, from the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at University of Basrah adopted analysis the violence Language within the text of "Frankenstein in Baghdad" novel by the novelist Ahmed Saadawi.

Hassan explained during a seminar that there is a clear influence of violence on the individual's language, as the language is an expression of the society ideologies through what was shown by the author Saadawi in his novel with a realistic fantasy style mixed with daily violence.

She added that the purpose of studying this literary work is to show war and terrorism impact on the crystallization of the individual personality, and perhaps Iraq is considered at the forefront countries in this area because it was exposed to large waves of violence, at both periods of pre-2003 and beyond.
