The Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on memory and human development in cooperation with Al-Talib Iraqi Foundation.
The workshop aims to guide students to get away from attention distractors and give them advice on how to use the brain's enormous capacity to store information and provide students with tips to think positively about the potential for positive thinking.
The workshop included two lectures, the first presented by Nawal Mohammed a researcher at the center, where she explained the reasons for forgetting and types of memory (sensory, short-term, long-term) as well as how to store information in the long-term memory. The second lecture presented by the researcher Tahrir Zaki Hussein included acknowledgment of positive thinking and the elimination of negative thoughts and ways to transfer ideas from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind.
