The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium on stroke and heart attack with the participation of researchers and specialists. The symposium included two lectures presented by Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa and Dr. Sundus Baqer Dawood, during which they dealt with the causes of stroke and heart attack and risk factors that can be calculated and which cannot be calculated. The seminar also dealt with Types of stroke and the most important ways to prevent them by eating healthy food, exercising daily and avoiding smoking, drugs, alcohol and unhealthy eating. The symposium aimed at introducing the participants to the basic symptoms of strokes, and emphasizing on educating students about the harms of smoking and the importance of exercising. The researchers recommended ensuring the risk factors That can be improved as it is the only way to reduce stroke incidence, exercise half an hour a day, eat healthy food and stay away from artificial sugars and fats. At the end of the symposium, the students and their professors were briefed on the clinical skills laboratory of the Fundamentals of Nursing branch, and the two parties agreed on future joint work. |
