The lecturer at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, Dr. Alaa Al-Sareeh, was chosen as a scientific reviewer in the American Probiotics and Antimicrobial Proteins magazine with an impact factor of 4.6 and within the global Scopas and Clarivate indexes. Al-Sareeh said, that this journal is concerned with publishing reviews and original articles aimed at developing basic knowledge and exploring the applications of probiotics, natural antimicrobial proteins and their derivatives in medical, pharmaceutical, biological, veterinary, agricultural, food and cosmetic products as well as microbiology applications and their metabolic products, and encourages studies linking the structure and functional properties of antimicrobial proteins.
