The College of Nursing at the University of Basra participated in the scientific symposium on radioactive and water pollution in Basra Governorate, which was held at the College of Dentistry The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Wasfi Zahir Abd Ali, attended on the College of Nursing, and indicated that the problem of pollution constitutes a dangerous concern for the future of Basra. He explained that the proposal to construct gates to the entrances of subsidiary rivers is a very important project to reduce pollution of the Shatt al-Arab water, that is, to allow tidal water to enter only the branch rivers that flow into the Basra River designated for drainage water. |
