A delegation from the General Company for Mining Industries of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals visited the Polymer Research Centre at University of Basrah and confirmed the scientific and industrial cooperation between the two parties due to the scientific ideas and industrial projects of the centre. This delegation was led by the Assistant of general manger of the company and a number of departmental managers and experts. The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdullah Abbas Tamimi, manager of the Centre and several of staff members.
The manager of the centre addressed the main theme of the visit, which is the construction of the low-cost role, which is the ideas of Dr. Mohammed Ali Jaber, one of the polymer members. He was briefed on several other projects at the centre and expressed his readiness to adopt their ideas, develop production and work there by signing a memorandum of cooperation between the parties. Tamimi concluded by saying that the parties had agreed on another visit very close to the hope that it would result from a formal agreement on the ground.
