A master's thesis in the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance, College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra - Psychological escape and its relationship to self-concealment among the recovering and those in contact with Corona patients - by the student (Hind Faisal Attia)
The thesis dealt with the study of psychological escape and self-concealment in the two research samples of the recovered and those in contact with Corona patients according to the gender variable. As well as revealing the differences between the two samples in psychological escape and self-concealment according to the gender variable, leading to revealing the relationship between the two variables, and the difference between the relationship between them according to the variable of the type of case (recovered - touching). To transfer these goals into practice, the researcher adopted five zero hypotheses that she sought to verify their validity using the usual scientific methods.
The thesis included the construction of two measures to transfer the study's objectives into practice.
And the thesis concluded, that the two research samples have high psychological escape, and low self-hiding, and this was confirmed by the percentages and for the two samples, as the proportions of the recovered and the touched converged on the two scales, and there were no statistically significant differences in the psychological escape variable and the self-hiding variable according to the variables of the case type “recovered.” , touching”, gender “males, females”, and there is a positive and statistically significant correlation between the variables of psychological escape and self-hiding in the two research samples, and this result reflects the direct relationship between the two variables among the recovering and the touched, meaning that any rise in the variable of psychological escape is accompanied by a similar rise in self-hiding , and vice versa, and the results also showed that there are differences in the relationship between psychological escape and self-concealment according to the variable of the type of case (recovered, touching) and in favor of the sample of the recovered.
