The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized a workshop on health assessment on the clinical examination of the abdomen, in which Dr. Sajjad Abdul-Sadiq, Pediatrician specialist, lectured at the College of Nursing, University of Basra The lecture included identifying the comprehensive examination of the abdomen by looking, superficial groping, deep groping and examination using a stethoscope with methods of examining the presence of fluids in the abdomen. The workshop also included examination of the liver, spleen, gallbladder, bladder and kidneys. The workshop aimed at discovering any early symptoms of disease and ascertaining potential diseases, which helps to start early treatment and increase the chances of full recovery, avoid any serious complications and identify any problems or risk factors that the patient suffers from that may cause diseases in the future. |
