The college of Medicine at Basra University discussed a thesis about the reproductive health in Basra entitled (Reproductive Health in Basra - a study to analyze policy and evaluate services). The study aimed to provide information about the extent of knowledge and awareness of health decision-makers in Basra and service providers about reproductive health and exploring the current structure available to provide these services in the governorate, the extent of their use, and the patients' satisfaction with the current situation. The researcher concluded that the basic infrastructure components of reproductive health services are satisfactorily present in the health institutions covered by the research, however there is an apparent lack of working guidelines in addition to the shortage in the availability of some services, especially in the field of child birth, ambulance services, screening and treatment of AIDS, problems of menopause and treatment of infertility
