The third stage students of the Department of Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah paid a scientific visit to Basrah International Airport under the supervision of Dr. Fatima Kadhem and Dr. Hassanein Shaker and Dr. Heba Hakem from the Department of Computer Engineering, during which they briefed the students on modern technologies in communications and information technology, where Eng. Saad Ali, Director of the Information Technology Division at the airport, provided them with useful information in addition to the devices used and modern methods of communication. The meteorological department was also visited to learn about its working mechanism and the devices used in monitoring weather conditions and how to control and take decisions in the take-off and landing of aircraft in various weather conditions and the devices used in that and ways of communication between the aircraft and the control tower.
