Basra University organizes a festival on capacity development and self-development

The College of Nursing at the University of Basra, with the participation of the College of Medicine at Zahraa, organized its first annual festival on capacity development and self-development with wide participation of students, professors and interested people. The gardens of the Bab al-Zubair Colleges Complex were held at Basra University, and it is the first university festival of its kind in Iraq. Dr. Saad Shaheen, President of the University of Basra, after that Prof. Dr. Abdul Amir Abdullah Abdullah Al-Mousawi, the festival’s supervisor revealed in a speech about the festival’s program for this year and explained to the attendees the sections and activities of the festival
Professor Saad Shaheen gave a speech in which he shed light on the objectives of the festival, explaining to the attendees that the university’s purpose for holding this type of festival and artistic and cultural activities is to develop students ’abilities and skills, and raise their spirits at the beginning of the new academic year, which is what everyone aspires to. We are always required to pay attention to students ’abilities and skills, as well as interest in science and study.

      On the other hand of the opening ceremony, some human development lectures on motivation and creativity were presented to students outdoors, presented by international trainers from the Fathers' Palm Institute and a visual forum for human development. On the other hand, the college opened an exhibition of posters for human development and an exhibition of human development books.
Al-Mousawi explained that the university seeks to implement modern systems in teaching, including teaching methods and practical research, and to apply the curriculum system that was approved by the ministry for this year, which contributes to the improvement of the learning process. His time is creative for his country.
