Applied scientific study The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Qassem Matar Al-Khalidi at the College of Administration and Economics / Al-Qurna, carried out an applied scientific study entitled (The Problem of Solid Domestic Waste in the City of Al-Qurna for the year 2020) at an official request from the Directorate of Al-Qurna Municipality within the framework of cooperation between the university and official departments in the service of The aim of the study was to shed light on the size of this problem, its negative effects, and the necessary methods to address it, and to reveal the city’s municipality’s need for human and material resources and mechanisms. The study took the scientific method of the analytical approach in the management of household solid waste. Municipal officials stated in an official letter that the study was successful and fruitful and that they will implement it.
