The team of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah won the five-a-side football as a champion in the five-a-side football championship, which was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali

In the final match that I gathered with the staff team, which ended with a score of 4:5, the match was characterized by a match in performance and the exchange of attacks between the two teams until it ended in favor of the mechanical engineering department team, ending the cup journey by winning first place in the championship, and the staff department team in second place. The teams of the college departments competed in the championship until the two teams were nominated for the final match. The Dean of the College, the Scientific Associate and the Administrative Assistant handed over medals to the first and second places and the championship cups with the participation of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and in the presence of the Sports Activity Officer Dr. Nassar Ismail Fares
