A scientific visit for students of the College of Engineering to the biggest port of Faw
After the port of Faw became a destination for specialists, the sites of the projects of the biggest port of Faw witnessed a field visit by professors and students of the College of Engineering to the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Basrah
The trip to the biggest port included a review of the works carried out in the port, in addition to an explanation of the future of this port, which will reach a capacity of 50 million merchant ships annually in 2041, as it will be at a depth of 18 meters, which will make large ships stop there directly instead of stopping at ports Neighboring countries through the huge berths, 5 of which are being implemented now, and thus the extension of railways to Europe, which makes it the complete link between Asia and Europe and thus will change the international transport route, which leads to a huge increase in the Iraqi economy.
The eastern and western breakwaters and the central batter were also visited, and they learned how to control mixing ratios
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed their admiration for the ongoing work, and the warm reception by the Faw Grand Port Project Authority.
