A master's thesis in the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed the effect of adding flaxseed oil to the feed on the production performance and biochemical parameters of Chinese goose eggs raised in Iraq. The thesis of the student, Miad Muhammad Sharif, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Majid Hassan Abdel Reda Al-Asadi, included the use of flaxseed oil by 1%, 2% and 3% in feeding geese and its impact on production performance, qualitative and biochemical characteristics, and a study of the sensory characteristics of Chinese goose eggs raised in Iraq. The study aimed to find out the effect of flaxseed oil added to the goose diet on its production and biochemical characteristics The thesis concluded that the use of flaxseed oil at a level of 3% led to an improvement in the productive and qualitative characteristics of eggs, and a reduction in the concentration of cholesterol, peroxide number and free fatty acids in the yolk of female goose eggs, and improved the proportions of fatty acids, especially palmitic acid and linolenic acid, as well as improving the sensory characteristics of eggs (color and flavor). texture, and general acceptance).
