A master's thesis in the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed changes in the level of sexual and metabolic hormones and the development of reproductive tissues in the Arabian breed of sheep. The message of the student Aseel Jamil Jumaa, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Walid Youssef Qassem, included the collection of 120 blood samples from male and female Arabi sheep from slaughterhouses and civil fields in the governorates of Basra and Dhi Qar. The samples were divided into three age groups and three weight groups, and tissue sections were taken from the genitals of both sexes. (Testes, ovaries, uterus, udder). The thesis aimed to find out the effect of age, weight and gender of Arabian Sheep on measuring the concentrations of sex hormones, some metabolic hormones, concentrations of biochemical parameters, and follow up the tissue growth and development of genital organs in both sexes. The thesis concluded that the age and weight of sheep have a significant effect on the sexual and metabolic hormones and some biochemical parameters with the development of reproductive tissues and for both sexes when the animals advanced in age and weight.
