The lecturer, Dr. Ali Khaled Abbas, from the Department of Geology College of Science, participated in the discussion of a master’s thesis in the Cologe of Literature, Department of Geography, by student Ahmed Mahawish Thareer, entitled Classification of the soils of Abi Al-Khasib district in Basra governorate using GIS. The researcher used the spatial distribution of the physical and chemical properties of the soils of Abi Al-Khasib district The researcher relied on the Arc GIS program to prepare a map of the spatial suitability of the soil of Abi Al-Khaseeb district for agricultural purposes
