Prof. Dr. Wisal Fakhri Hassan, Head of the Department of Applied Marine Sciences, won a gold medal at the International Invention & Trade Expo 2021 which was held on 22th- 24th September 2021. She participated in the expo with the patent “The Use of a Hexagonal Distillation Device to Estimate Nitrogen Images”. The patent was founded in cooperation with Dr. Donia Khairallah Khassaf from the College of Marine Sciences and Dr. Zuhair Ali Abdel Nabi from the Marine Science Center. It is currently in use in the Marine Science Center laboratories. It is worth noting that the expo witnessed the participation of 20 countries and 147 researches from around the world, including many Iraqi researchers.
