Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Al-Mousawi, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the college The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized an awareness seminar on (Amicron axis and virus prevention), in which the teacher, Dr. The symposium included identifying the characteristics of the mutated Omicron strain and mutations, which were issued by the World Health Organization in terms of spread and infection events. The causes of infection and how to prevent them were addressed to protect individuals and society. The symposium aimed to study some of the solutions and proposals presented by the lecturer in the symposium and to familiarize the attendees with the new Omicron strain, the latest data issued by it, and the effectiveness of current vaccines against it. Al-Moussawi stressed the holding of educational seminars and lectures on dealing with the Corona epidemic and the new mutant, Omicron, because exaggeration or underestimation of this topic has a negative impact. It is also necessary to raise awareness among students of this important and conscious segment
