College of Pharmacy held a seminar to  discuss the use of enzymes as a treatment in certain disease such as diabetes.

College of Pharmacy at the University of Basra organized a seminar entitled (Using Enzymes as a Remedy to Control Diabetes) ,which was presented by Dr. Jubran Khalil Hassan .
The seminar included a review of new theories of diabetes and its complications. One of these theories is the  glucose poisoning  theory.The lecturer clarified the multifunctional  role of antioxidants in reducing the deterioration of diabetes. Furthermore the primary endpoint of the seminar was to confirm on the possibility of using certain enzymes (that have a role in the metabolism of sugar ,energy and digestion processes)to control symptoms of diabetes based on latest researches and recent reviews  in this field.
