Study of Fauna assemblages and their relationship to sediment accumulation in coral reefs area.
Sediment in a coral reef area, northwest of the Persian Gulf in the Iraqi Geological Journals
The research summarizes the study of the micro-organisms (Mollusca and Bryozoa) and an attempt to understand the relationship between the accumulation of sediments and their types in the coral reefs area, where the sand texture prevails in the sediments of the area, which are round-grained. The study revealed the phenomenon of multi-colored sand and shells due to the presence of minerals, oxides, impurities and pollution in the area. Several species have been identified in the sediments of the region, reaching 62 species of Mollusca and Bryozoa with the first recorded species . It is that the Iraqi Journal of Earth Sciences is one of the scientific journals classified in the global database Scopus.
