College of Pharmacy held a seminar about the production of monoclonal antibodies .
College of Pharmacy at University of Basra, organized a seminar entitled (Production of monoclonal antibodies and its medical applications) presented by Dr. Nisreen Waleed Mustafa . The seminar included clarifying the process that produces monoclonal antibodies by the formation of a hybrid cell . This cell has the ability to remain alive in the culture media and produce specialized antibodies for a single antigen .The lecturer referred to the applications of this process in diagnosing and treating certain diseases such as autoimmune diseases and cancer.
