The Director-General of the Marine Science Center participated in the meeting of the Central Water Management Committee of Basra Governorate, which includes all departments concerned with the water situation in the province, which was held on Thursday 11/1/2021 in the Basra Governorate Office. During the meeting, the emergency plan prepared by the committee was discussed, as well as defining the mechanisms for its activation and the preparation of possible scenarios and how to deal with it during the coming ٠ Science Center has provided and continues to provide all support and backing to the concerned authorities such as the Basra Water Directorate, the Oil Company, the General Company for Iraqi Ports, the Directorate of Water Resources, the Marshes Revitalization Center, the Directorate of Agriculture and the Environment Directorate in the water file also work to advance this reality and provide studies and scientific advice to these bodies Service to province.
