College of Nursing Announcements Alaa Al Husseini The College of Nursing at the University of Basra participated in the discussion of a master’s thesis and on the hall of the College of Arts, Department of Geography, for graduate student Iman Abdel Hassan, for her thesis entitled Geographical Dimensions of Respiratory Diseases in Basra Governorate for the period 2014/2019. Prof. Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa, Head of the Community Health Branch at the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, was chosen as a member of the discussion. The discussion was attended by the teacher, Dr. Hisham Hussein Abdel Raouf, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs. The thesis talked about the geographical dimensions of respiratory diseases in Basra governorate in terms of time and space, and the environmental and climatic effects on respiratory diseases. The thesis aimed to identify the main diseases and the nature of their geographical spread in Basra Governorate and to know the effect of different climatic factors on those diseases. The student obtained an excellent grade in medical geography. |
