Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Dr. Saad Shaheen, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud, the respected Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the Basra Women’s Team, organized an awareness seminar to combat violence against women on Monday 17/1-2022 in the college building. During the lectures in which I gave a discussion of the causes and methods of violence against women and its types and how to advance the reality of society to levels of sophistication in the civilized treatment of women among the different groups of society
