Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, and the Architectural Engineering Department at the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate - General Center, a scientific symposium was held entitled (Developments of digital technologies and their applications in the field of design and architectural sciences). Engineers Syndicate in Baghdad - Al-Mansour.
The symposium included delivering nine scientific lectures by specialists in the fields of information technology and digital architecture from different Iraqi and Arab universities. The symposium aims to address the importance of these developments and their applications in the fields of architectural design and the various architectural sciences and knowledge, interspersed with a number of discussions and opinions for the audience represented by professors of architecture from various Iraqi universities, and most of the opinions were unanimously agreed on the importance of the topic that the symposium was exposed to and the need to give it the utmost importance by all concerned institutions, foremost of which are Iraqi universities because of these developments of repercussions An imperative on the reality of the local architectural work on several academic and advisory levels. The majority of attendees also praised the efforts of the College of Engineering and the University of Basrah and its initiative in raising this issue, starting with the workshop that was held in the corridors of the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, and continuing that initiative in this symposium.
