Presence doctor from Marine Science Center in the fifth meeting of the governing board of UNESCO category 2 regional education and research center on Oceanography for West Asian (RCOWA), 14 February 2022.

Dr. ALI BASSAL MAHMOOD, Associate Professor of Physical Oceanography at Marine Science Center University of Basrah, participated in the fifth session of the members of the RCOWA-UNESCO according to the response of the official invitation letter received from the Iranian National Institute for Oceanography and Atmospheric Science (INIOAS), which was held on February 14, 2022 through the Skyroom platform headed by director general of the INIOAS, the chairman of the board of directors of the RCOWA.
During the meeting, the outcomes of the fifth meeting and the work plan for the year 2022, in addition to other activities, were reviewed. A delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, India, Pakistan, Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to the representative of UNESCO, the Director of the Permanent Intergovernmental Oceanographic Committee of IOC-UNESCO from Paris as well as the Permanent Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran to UNESCO.
