A delegation from the South Refineries Company visited the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah represented by Mr. Moataz Abdul-Saheb Hassan - Director of the Laboratory and Quality Control Department
Mr. Ali Jamil Naqel - Head of the Technical Division, Production Authority, Ms. Buthaina Khalil Hamza, Head of Analytics Division – Laboratories Department, Ms. Sherine Kadhem Jabur - Head of Analytics Division – Laboratories Department
They were received by Dr. Hussein Sadiq Sultan, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, and Prof. Saad Matti Poutros, a lecturer in the Petroleum Engineering Department.
The visit aims to review the technical problems facing the South Refineries Company due to the presence of contaminants from organic and inorganic chlorides in crude oil, which cause damage to oil refining equipment.
