The College of Medicine, University of Basrah, in the presence of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Murtadha Mohammed Salih Al-Musafer, and all members of the Council held a meeting with the executing company, the resident engineer department, some members of the board of directors and some professors of supporting colleges such as the College of Nursing, the College of Dentistry and the College of Pharmacy To discuss the latest developments in the university hospital and to know the percentage of completion in the project. After the airstrip was completed, proposals were discussed about adding operating theaters, adding housing for patients' families, in addition to expanding the parking garage to serve the Basrah community.
