Celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Basrah and with the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant. Professor Dr. Fateh Al-Khakani and the follow up of both of the Dean's Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Lecturer.Dr. Sundus Abdul Wadood, Assistant. Professor Dr. Rafid Mustafa AlBadr, the College of Dentistry University of Basrah organized a festival that included artistic activities, books gallery and a charity market.
The festival that saw the attendance of the academic teaching personnel, employees and students, commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, patriotic anthem and the ceremony of raising the Iraqi flag.
During the festival, Dr. Ali Taha delivered the Deanship's speech where he congratulated the employees of the University of Basrah and glorified the University of Basrah and its active role in serving the community.
Additionally, Dr. Sundus opened the book gallery in which well-known libraries at the Province level participated, in which valuable cultural and scientific books were displayed.
The festival also included a charity market where its participants were selling food, cakes and fast food and it was very popular with the audience.
Students also participated by displaying an exhibition of photographs and another for painting, during which the students displayed beautiful paintings and drawings.
