The College of Dentistry University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the role of platelets rich in plasma and fibrin in the regeneration of tissues surrounding the teeth.
The lecture aims to identify the usage of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) technology and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) technique in the treatment of many pathological conditions.
The lecture delivered by Assistant. Lecturer. Dr. Reham Adnan Radhi, included the methods of preparing these platelets and their various uses, and the effective role of platelets rich in fibrin (PRF) in treating the periodontal pockets surrounding the teeth by regenerating the cells surrounding the tooth because it contains stem cells and growth factors that have the ability to stimulate cells growth and their proliferation.
