The College of Science at the University of Basra organized a discussion seminar on (the effect of allelopathic of extracts of some medicinal plants on the growth and development of Arabidopsis thaliana Colombia 0) for graduate / doctoral student Inas Sabah Mohammad Sharief. The study aimed to plant of A. thaliana and demonstrate the allelopathic effect of alcoholic and glyosidic extract of N. oleander flower on A. thaliana in terms of seed germination and phenotypic, chemical and anatomical characteristics, as the inhibitory effect was on germination at concentrations 6% and 10%, as well as show a stimulatory and inhibitory effects on a number of phenotypic traits such as leaf area, and the study recommended to take advantage of allelopathy in the medical and economic aspects.
