During which he dealt with the number of days of survival of shallow and deep depressions of the Mediterranean and the amount of climate change in them, whether in the direction of rise or fall over the northern region, represented by the Mosul station and the central region, represented by the Baghdad station and the southern region, represented by the Basra station in Iraq for the period of the study 1950-2016)) in order to know the Mediterranean depressions Affecting the climate of Iraq at two levels (1000,850) millibars. Daily weather maps for the observation (GMT 1200) were collected and analyzed from the Meteorological Center in the US state of Plymouth and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the period (1950-2016) and divided into six climate cycles The number of maps reached (32076)
The workshop discussed the analysis of the average number of days of survival of shallow and deep Mediterranean depressions through knowing the extent of their depth and shallowness in the upper layers of the atmosphere. The duration of the pressure system over Iraq, and it varies according to the difference of the system and its strength and the competition of other systems of levels (1000)) and (850)) millibars for the monitoring (1200) GMT for the stations of Mosul, which represents the northern region of Iraq, Baghdad represents the central region, and Basra represents the southern region, and for the period 1950-2016 () according to the six climate cycles, whether the amount of change is towards the upside in the positive direction or the decrease in the negative direction. The workshop showed that the number of days of stay as deep extensions, deep secondary centers, or shallow extensions over Iraq, and it was found that there is a trend of change towards a decrease in the number of days of stay in the Mediterranean depressions in the deep stretches and deep secondary centers, offset by an increase in the shallow extensions, and this was revealed in the climate cycle (2016- 2005) the number of days he stayed over Iraq decreased, whether in October or May.
