By the student Ahmed Ali Muhammad Al-Shamrati from the Southern Technical University - College of Health and Medical Technologies / Basra, where the study aimed to assess the levels of knowledge and attitudes among health workers towards infectious diseases, and to determine the relationship between the dependent and independent variables with the levels of knowledge and attitudes of the participants. The results showed that there was no significant correlation between socio-demographic characteristics, knowledge and evolving attitudes, but a significant correlation between knowledge and training sessions. In addition to the existence of a significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes.
The study concluded that more than half of the health workers have good levels of knowledge and positive attitudes, and these levels must be raised through continuous training courses on infection control conducted by specialized professors, especially since most of the health workers were young and had few years of experience.
