On Sunday 18/12/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a PhD dissertation in the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences on (the impact of macroeconomic variables on the performance of financial markets).
The researcher's dissertation (Laith Haisam Abdul Latif) aims to know the trends of economic variables and analyze the Iraqi market for securities.
The dissertation concluded that there is an impact of macroeconomic variables on the performance of the financial markets, as well as that the Iraqi market for securities did not perform its required role in the economy due to poor productivity and the fact that macroeconomic indicators are volatile and unstable.
