D thesis at the faculty of Science at the University of Basrah (Evaluation of Biofuel production from three species in Basrah city ), and showed the researcher's thesis (Haya Abd Shaker) Thesis aims to Evaluate the efficiency of some algae species isolated from the local environment these species were collected and diagnosed morphologically and phenotypically, estimating the proportions of the active compounds, extracting oil from them, demonstrating the possibility of producing biodiesel from the isolated oil, studying the physical and chemical properties of the resulting diesel and comparing it with fossil fuels, and concluded the possibility of using the oil resulting from these algae to produce biodiesel, the physical and chemical properties showed a significant decrease in sulfur levels and the absence of any carbon residues , and recommended conducting other studies to demonstrate the possibility of using other types of algae to produce biofuels, as well as changing the conditions used for biodiesel production to obtain a higher product quantity.
