A Board research, at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, discussed COVID-19 Infection among Children with Cancer in Basrah Pediatric Oncology Center. The research presented by student Duha Faleh Mahdi aims to Study some of the characteristic features of cancer patient infected with covid-19 in Basrah Pediatric Oncology Center and Evaluate the outcome of these patients. The research concluded that Majority of covid 19 cases were leukemic patient then followed by solid malignancy and lymphoma and the majority of them on chemotherapy in the consolidation phase. Majority of covid 19 infected cancer children were male and in the age group 5-10 years old and from Basrah. Regarding radiological finding, the majority of chest x-ray had no specific radiological finding while chest CT scan had positive result inform of (ground glass appearance, consolidation and pleural effusion) and Regarding respiratory support nearly half of them, need oxygen and few need CPAP and ventilator. Patients who were neutropenic, they had positive CT scan finding and receive Remidisvir. Majority of our patient who receive supportive treatment or Remidisvir discharge well .There is no significant difference in the duration of hospital stay between those who receive supportive treatment or Remidisvir therapy.
