Dr. Mahir A. Jalal, a lecturer in polymer research center, organized a symposium, entitled “Circular Dichroism Spectroscopy (CD): Principle and Applications”. The symposium explored the differences in the chemical and physical behavior of stereoisomers, and then introducing theoretical fundamentals of this technique and its mechanism as well as how to use it to distinguish some forms of compounds, polymers and macromolecules that have more than one stereoisomer.
