The presenter Watheq Fahem Shneen demonstrates the most important objectives of study Increased propagation length of surface plasmon polaritons through hybrid waveguide while maintaining quantum confinement.
The study concluded that Material gain is more valuable with more QDs. If we need a redshift in the wavelength the size of QDs must be scaled up in specific proportions. The wavelength of the emitted light can be controlled and determined by changing the size and shape of the QD.
The refractive index of the active layer has a significant influence on the material gain in diffusion length for the SPP within the HWG (Hybrid Waveguide ). The refractive index of the active layer affects the effective mode area and field distribution of HSPPs so When the refractive index of the active layer is reduced from its initial value that means it can change the confinement mode area of the plasmonic mode. This results in a tighter restriction of the plasmonic mode and an increased interaction between the HSPPs and the materials gain.
