A master's thesis at the University of Basra discussing (The Poetic Sentence in Ibn Duraid's Diwan, A Study of Structure and Significance)
I researched a master's thesis in the Department of Arabic Language / College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra - the poetic sentence in the Diwan of Ibn Duraid, a study in structure and semantics - by the student (Raghad Ahmed Ishaq).
The thesis dealt with the study of the poetic sentence in the Diwan of Ibn Durayd in terms of linguistic structure and the statement of the specificity of the poetic sentence and its linguistic and expressive characteristics, and its impact on poetic formation, and tracking the semantics of the poetic sentence in his poems.
The thesis included three chapters. The first chapter dealt with the structural structure of the sentence in Ibn Duraid's poetry in terms of its being nominal and verbal, and the syntax symptoms that impede the construction of the nominal and verbal sentences. Then, in its third chapter, the study dealt with the semantic function of the poetic sentence, and the study ended with a conclusion that summarized its most important findings.
The thesis concluded that the poetic sentence has important linguistic, structural and expressive characteristics and features that make it different from the ordinary sentence, even if it is based on the structure of the Arabic grammatical sentence.
