A master’s thesis in the Department of History, College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra (The Moroccan Minister (d. 418 AH/1027 AD) discussed his method and resources in writing Al-Ainas in Genealogy) by the student (Ahmed Khaled Khairallah Sahiyo)

The choice of the topic was due to several features that distinguish this book, as it is considered one of the precious books in genealogy, especially with what is related to its methodology followed in criticism and treating texts by analysis, deduction, weighing opinions, and controlling meaning, in addition to the diversity in following multiple methodological methods of induction, deduction, analysis, selectivity, and so on. Other than that, there is also the characteristic of diversity and inclusion
The thesis included a study:
The first chapter, in three sections, dealt with the personal and scientific biography of the Moroccan minister and a general introductory overview of his book (Al-Ainas in Genealogy) and its scientific value. In the second and third chapters, the study moved to studying the book (Anas in Genealogy) by shedding light on his approach and then the resources of the Moroccan minister that he adopted in documenting the material of his book. The second chapter revolved in its entirety around studying the Moroccan minister’s methodology, while the third chapter revolved around the study of the Moroccan minister’s methodology. It focused on studying the resources of the Moroccan minister, and the study sought to provide scientific statistics about this work by placing tables on resources in the form of appendices at the end of the thesis. There were six appendices, including five tables whose purpose was to provide a comprehensive and broad database of contents. And the resources of the book (Al-Ainas in Genealogy), as well as another appendix that includes a comparative study of the Moroccan minister’s additions to the book (The Various Tribes and Their Compounds) by Ibn Habib (d. 245 AH).
