As part of the continuing education program, the Department of Marine Vertebrates at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a scientific siminar entitled:
New record of the pinjalo snapper, Pinjalo pinjalo (Bleeker, 1850) (Perciformes: Lutjanidae) in the Iraqi marine waters.
A new recording by
Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Faisal and Prof. Dr. Falah Mutlak. explained that this genus Pinjalo is among the small genera of the Lutjanidae family.
In addition, this study revealed the most important possible reasons for the spread of the fsh species in the northern Indian Ocean toward the northern Arabian Gulf.
