As part of the efforts and preparations of the College of Engineering at the University of Basra to implement the polish Path, starting this year 2023/2024, for first-year students, the Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering held a seminar on the mechanism of implementing the polish Path in engineering colleges. The seminar, which was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Adi Bashir Issa, included several topics to introduce the Polish track and the European cumulative unit system. The workshop included an analysis of the student’s academic load, how to calculate scheduled and unscheduled hours, in addition to classifying academic subjects and dividing study units throughout the semester. The seminar also discussed the types of formative and final assessment, exams, and calculation of the average, as well as the mechanism for treating critical grades by assigning the student additional work according to the specialization, and the mechanism for calculating the semester average.
