In an effort by the university presidency to build bridges of communication with various institutions, and within the framework of scientific and cultural cooperation, the Central Library Secretariat held a development course in indexing and classifying sources and applying the Koha system for electronic documentation for the employees of the Basra University of Oil and Gas, and a number of our affiliates, out of a desire to facilitate access to information sources in the fastest ways. And to keep pace with the scientific and technological development taking place in the world in this field.
The course lasted for two weeks, starting on 10/15/2023, and in two stages, the first included indexing and classifying sources theoretically for one week, and the second week covered how to use the Koha system for electronic documentation in a practical manner for a week.
