Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, to identify the needs of the scientific branches, and in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Sondos Baqir Daoud, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Nursing Basics Branch at the college organized a regular meeting for the branch’s teachers, headed by the teacher Afkar Fadel Karim, head of the branch, and in the presence of A number of teaching staff.
The meeting dealt with the most important directives issued by the Deanship of the College. During the meeting, study materials and assignments were distributed and confirmed. A plan was also drawn up to receive first-year students, for morning and evening studies, and to prepare halls and the curriculum. The development of the scientific plan was also discussed, and teachers were urged to pay attention. With scientific research and adherence to the instructions of the Presidency of the University of Basra and the Deanship of the College, the meeting also included an emphasis on the achievements of the workshops, lectures and courses according to the annual plan, and the problems, obstacles and needs of the branch, including laboratories, were discussed. He developed a practical plan for practical training in hospitals and followed up on college students. He also urged teaching staff to do research and articles to increase science and raise the level of the college and university, as well as emphasizing the follow-up of educational guidance and counseling for students.
It was urged to follow up on student absences and other important matters.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing, urged his assistants to identify the problems facing the scientific branches and overcome all difficulties and solve them in order to reach solid education in the service of the educational process and our dear university.
