
The Basra Division CBRN team sterilized and fumigated the building of the College of Dentistry at the University of Basra and treated chemical emissions and dangers.
Dr. Raed Taha Yassin, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, said that the team was called to fumigate classrooms, staff rooms, educational clinics, corridors and scientific laboratories in order to reduce cases of pollution and gaseous emissions resulting from the use of chemicals in laboratories.
Colonel Engineer Hussein Abdul Wahed Khalaf, officer of the Basra Division for responding to CBRN incidents, stated that the team’s mission is to fumigate the building and detect gaseous and radioactive emissions that have harmful effects on the lives of workers in the building.
