The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance Unit and the Student Activities Unit, organized a workshop on the harms of smoking and ways to quit it. The workshop, which was delivered by Dr. Zuhair Salem Abdel Razzaq, included the definition of smoking and the diseases it leads to when continued, addiction factors, symptoms of quitting smoking, and ways to combat it by spreading a culture of awareness among students about the negative effects it poses to reduce this phenomenon.
